Got my coffee fix

So I grabbed some of their Private Reserve Kona Coffee, medium roast. Just needed a new bag. It got here pretty quick, like a week maybe? The coffee smells amazing when you open the bag. Brewed it up and it's just super smooth, you know? None of that bitter stuff. Totally happy with it. It just feels good to have some quality coffee around.

I ordered the Estate Kona Coffee and a few Kona Coffee Pods to try out. The coffee itself is quite good, very balanced flavor and no bitterness, which I appreciate. The pods work well in my machine. Shipping took about a week and a half, which felt a bit long compared to other online purchases, but it did arrive safely. Prices are on the higher end, but for genuine Kona, it's expected. Always a great experience

Another solid order from Koa Coffee. I've been getting their 100% Kona Peaberry Coffee for a while now, and it's consistently excellent. This time, I also tried the Swiss Water Decaf Kona, and it's surprisingly good for a decaf. Shipping took about 6 days, which is pretty standard for coming from Hawaii. No issues with the packaging or product quality, just like my last few purchases. That's why I keep coming back.

Yeah, I definitely think so. The peaberry has a more concentrated flavor, it's smoother and a bit brighter. It's a premium bean so expect it to be a bit more intense.

Honestly, I've had both and while Peaberry is good, I don't always notice a huge difference. If you're on a budget, their regular 100% Kona is still fantastic. Maybe try a smaller bag of Peaberry first to see if you like it.

Mine took about a week and a half last time to the East Coast. Not super fast but worth the wait for the fresh beans. Just don't expect Amazon Prime speed lol.

The newsletter usually gets you a first-order discount, yeah, like 10 or 15% off. They send out seasonal sales and stuff through email too, especially around holidays.

Free shipping is usually for bulk orders, like if you spend a certain amount. I've seen it sometimes during big sales too, but it's not a regular thing for small orders.

Are these guys for real? Koa Coffee always pops up but I've heard some 'Kona' can be blends and not actually 100%. Is their stuff genuine 100% Kona?

Yes, they are legit. I've been buying from them for years, it's always 100% Kona. They're one of the better-known farms.

They only sell 100% Kona, not blends, unless it specifically says it's a blend like their Moka Java. But for the pure Kona stuff, it's the real deal.

How does Koa Coffee compare to Greenwell Farms or Hawaii Coffee Company? I've tried those but looking for something new. Is Koa better tasting or just different?

Koa is definitely up there with Greenwell and HCC. I'd say it's more about personal preference than one being objectively 'better.' Koa often has a really smooth finish and rich aroma.

I find Koa Coffee to be a bit more consistent in its roast. Greenwell is great too, but I prefer Koa's selection of Peaberry. You can't go wrong with either, really.
